Wendy Brookhouse, Founder/Chief Strategist
B. Comm, MBA, St. Mary’s University, CHS,CCS
Wendy founded Black Star Wealth Partners over a decade ago to provide comprehensive financial services to entrepreneurs, professionals and business owners. A recent re-brand to The Black Star Group brings greater clarity around the services offered by the three divisions of the company – Black Star Wealth, Black Star Benefits and Black Star Performance.
Wendy has the uncommon ability to see and remove friction points that cause her clients stress and anxiety and prevent them from achieving their financial goals; as a result, she has developed unique solutions that are simplified and easy to implement. Products like the One Number Solution™, The Parting Gift™, Going Pro™ and Who’s Winning?™ are the outcome of that experience. Due to the enormous results her clients are achieving, Black Star is now establishing a re-seller network across the country for the One Number Solution™.
In seeing an information gap specific to business owners, Wendy has expanded the organization to include a performance division with expertise in business evolution. Black Star Performance has launched programs such as Jumpstart, Catapult and Optimize, which focus not only on the “what” of business growth, but more importantly on the “how”.
A leader in the community, Wendy recently completed a two year term as Chair of Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia and is now serving on the national board. She has received the Progress Women of Excellence Award for Entrepreneurship and the Saint Mary’s Distinguished Community Service Award. She is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table and a multi-year President’s Council member, and author of Burn Your Budget: How to Spend Your Way to Financial Freedom.
As an organization, Black Star has been recognized as one of Atlantic Canada’s Fastest Growing Companies and as a 2016 Finalist for Small Business of the Year by the Halifax Chamber of Commerce.
